Hey Danielle! I'm so glad you love this granola as much as we do--it's a staple in our kitchen and we're so glad it can be part of yours, too!

It's so funny how this comment is eight years late, but I needed to let you and anyone stumbling across this that this recipe is legit! All the other recipes don't even consider that some may not have old fashioned rolled oats or pure maple or honey, and that defeats the purpose of using what you have. It's crazy that in eight years none of the other food bloggers even tried other types of oats to help others. Can't believe I found this!!! Thank you so much it was so easy and tasted amazing!!!!!

GREAT idea, Gail! ;) I sometimes forget how delicious vegan treats can be (and that they're even vegan!).

This is my favorite granola recipe so far! Very versatile. I add whatever I have...sunflower seeds, pepitas, almonds, mixed grain oats, steel cut oats, quick cook oats and regular oats and I cut the sugar down. I love all the different textures! Thank you so much for sharing!

Carolyn, you are so sweet--how have we not officially met before?! (Unless the names are slipping under my radar and out of my mind--they tend to do that sometimes!) Thanks for sharing your changes--the coconut oil is definitely something I'd love to try. You're 110% welcome, and thank you for your wonderful comment, it made my day!

Just wanted to say this is my favorite granola recipe! (I have made this over a handful of times now, way better than store bought and cheaper too :-) I changed a few things- I used 3 cups of each rolled oats and quick cooking oats. Swapped out the veg. Oil for coconut, only used 1 cup brown sugar, and instead of syrup used 1/3 cup honey. Found the pre sliced almonds which make it super easy (I was chopping) Also added in some chia seeds. I found it easier to add all dry ingredients (minus the sugar) to large bowl, and then all wet (including sugar, but minus the vanilla) to saucepan. Add vanilla after boils, dump over dry ingredients in bowl, mix well and then dump and pat down in pan ;-) I believe this recipe is fool proof :-) thanks again for the awesome granola recipe :-)
