haha oh Nance! Your email is still sitting in the wings–things have just been crazy lately and I’m waiting for a good time to really whip out a response. I have no idea what could’ve happened behind the scenes (mostly because I don’t want to immerse myself in it any more than necessary), but my friends have definitely made a speculative time out of it. I’m just hoping that whatever went down was cleanly done and with an eye for fairness. That’s about all we can hope for at times like these! But your words (as always) mean the world to me, and more than anything else I’m just glad I had the chance to share this experience with so many AMAZING people like yourself. You’re the best. I was just thinking about you yesterday and wanting to hear all the details about the competition so I’m so glad I visited today and read this post! WTF with the voting/reversal. Seriously. As if they didn’t have the foresight to remotely anticipate that a tie could happen and not put in procedures to deal with it?! What kind of mickey mouse organization is this?! That’s bs. That ridiculous woman in her ridiculous tiara and sash moaning about it on Twitter, then everyone in the world knowing about the reversal except you? My blood is boiling. But let’s not dwell on the negatives (even though I always love to do so!). You are absolutely amazing. This poke cake looks and sounds absolutely delicious. I wish I could’ve been there to watch all this unfold and give you my physical support. I love all of these photos – you look so damn cute! And I love the look of genuine surprise and appreciation on your face (two things the “Bacon Babe” is incapable of feeling, I’m sure). You deserve the win, you deserve the prizes and I can’t wait to hear about the World Food Championship! Love ya, girl!
