Thanks, Laura! I probably spent a zillion hours a day thinking about what I could’ve/would’ve/should’ve said in any given situation–not sure if it’s been doing much for me so far, but that’s probably because all of my imagined scenarios involve gorgeous knights in shining armor whisking me away right before anything dramatic happens. Oh, well (a girl can dream)!

Great cookies and a really amusing story (one I can totally identify with – I have SAID, and never knew what it was called!). With unsolicited calls, I’ve taken to asking the caller whether someone is paying them to make the call. Usually they are (unless it’s a charity), so when they answer in the affirmative, I always ask how much they’re going to pay me to talk to them, suggesting it’s only right that we both be paid. Usually they hang up. 😉

So glad you were inspired by the recipe! Yours looks great 🙂 As for your awkward situation, just think about what you wish you would’ve said, and after awhile you’ll get better at dealing with all kinds of situations. It has definitely worked for me.
